Bird flu in cats sparks WHO fears

Chickens and ducks are confined in a farm in western France. France reported more cases of H5N1 in swans Sunday.
VIENNA, Austria (Reuters) -- Avian flu extended its spread across Europe as Poland confirmed on Monday that two dead swans had the virulent H5N1 virus and Austria reported that several cats had been infected. Full Story

What?
Is there anyone that didn't see ferrel (or at least free-range)cats killing infected birds and getting sick? This is somehow,,,news?
OHHMYGAWd, cats getting bird flu from murdering defensless BIRDS.
